SOURCE SPORTS: Sha'Carri Richardson Will Miss 2021 Olympics Due To Failed Drug Test

Sha’carri Richardson returned to the track after her suspension for marijuana use that led to her missing the Olympics. Unfortunately, Richardson didn’t seem to be on her game. Richardson finished dead last at Saturday’s Prefontaine Classic 100 meter race.

It was a poor showing for Richardson, but she didn’t seem to be too shaken. Richardson said it was a “great return” to the sport and that she wasn’t upset with herself.

“This is one race. I’m not done. Count me out if you want to … talk all the s— you want! ‘Cuz I’m here to stay. I’m not done. I’m the sixth-fastest woman in this game ever. Can’t nobody ever take that from me! Congratulations to the winners … but they’re not done seeing me yet!” Richardson said in a postrace interview with NBC.

Thompson-Herah from Jamaica won the women’s 100 in a personal-best 10.54 seconds. She pulled away from countrywomen Shelly-Ann Fraser-Pryce and Shericka Jackson just like she did in Tokyo three weeks ago.

We don’t know just yet what’s next for Richardson. After this last race one thing is for sure, she will have her work cut out for her because the field is stacked with amazing runners right now.
