Anthony Mackie’s time in the Marvel Cinematic Universe is far from over. After officially becoming Captain America during the Disney+ series, The Falcon and The Winter Soldier, Mackie has signed a new deal to star in Captain America 4.
Mackie portrays Sam Wilson, the partner to Chris Evans’ original Captain America, who ascended to the lead position following the aging of the original Steve Rogers.
Deadline reports further details about Captain America 4 are being held closely under wraps by Kevin Feige. There is currently no word if Sebastian Stan, who plays the Winter Soldier, will return for the film.
Captain America 4 will be scripted by The Falcon and the Winter Soldier head writer and creator Malcolm Spellman.
