Kate Middleton presented an important fashion award on behalf of the Queen

The Duchess of Cambridge arrived at London's Design Museum to meet young talented designers and award one of them with the Queen Elizabeth Award for British Design. The Queen Elizabeth Award for British Design is an annual award given to the industry's brightest talent at an event hosted by the British Fashion Council Foundation. The uniqueness of this event lies in the fact that members of the royal family personally take part in the ceremony: just a few years ago, Elizabeth II herself awarded the designers (recall the touching frame in which Richard Quinn accepts an impressive gold statuette from the Queen). This time, Her Majesty's decision was announced by the Duchess of Cambridge, who appeared at the London Design Museum in an impeccable emerald-hued dress by the Canadian brand Edeline Lee. In 2022, the Queen praised the "innovative eye for design" and "development of new materials while actively pursuing new industry frontiers" by Central Saint Martins and Royal College of Art graduate Saul Nash. It was he who just ten days ago received another prestigious award - the International Woolmark Prize. One of the first awards for youthful designers was the International Woolmark Prize, which emerged in the 1950s. The Talent Competition was an initiative of the International Wool Secretariat, which gets together wool producers from Australia, New Zealand and South Africa. With the help of the award, she decided to find both promising new names and innovative ways to work with natural materials in which they mastered. Known for his innovative approach to sportswear, Saul Nash creates stretchy men's suits from the finest technical knitwear. The designer is also committed to supporting his hometown - local manufacturers create all limited edition items in northeast London. It seems that this fact especially impressed and delighted the Queen.   https://ift.tt/mPHDaMz
