A power outage affected multiple buildings for three to four seconds on lower campus Tuesday afternoon. Students reported outages in Hillman Library, David Lawrence Hall, the Cathedral of Learning and Sennott Square on Reddit and Yik Yak.
University spokesperson David Seldin said Pitt is working with its power provider to investigate the cause of the outage. He said the redundant systems in place shortened the duration of the outage.
