Friends, Family, and Fans are grieving Jamal Edwards' untimely demise. The 31-year-old was credited with starting the careers of other renowned artists, including Ed Sheeran. Jamal accumulated an enormous wealth of £8 million throughout the course of his life and work. He was merely a youngster when he founded the youth broadcasting and video production channel SBTV to share recordings of his friends performing on the Acton estate where he resided. Jamal, who was born on August 24, 1990, earned his money as a businessman, novelist, filmmaker, and DJ. As previously stated, he founded and served as CEO of the online music platform SBTV - an acronym for small business television. Jamal earned money from advertisements on this YouTube channel, which has over 1 million subscribers. He has also modelled for companies such as Hermès and released his own headgear line in collaboration with Topman, a store he formerly worked at to save money for his music platform. Jamal also wrote an e-book, Self Belief: The Vision: How to Be a Success on Your Own Terms, in 2013. Jamal founded the streaming service in 2006, and it quickly grew in popularity, launching the careers of some of the greatest names in UK music, including Stormzy and Rita Ora. In an interview with PA following his MBE, he said that he founded SBTV to provide a forum for his pals. "It was a source of aggravation to go to school and hear everyone discussing 'how do we get our videos on MTV,'" he continued. "YouTube was around a year old at the time. I was thinking, 'Now that I've received a camera for Christmas, I'm going to start filming people and uploading them.' "Everyone was looking at me as if I could compete with these large businesses, but I feel I believed in myself early enough to believe I could make a difference."
